The Erie Fire Department is a 27 member volunteer department that is led into action by Chief James Melton, who is currently serving his second two year term as chief. The Erie Fire Department takes great pride in the services that they provide to our residents and those that pass through on our highways. Our firefighters continue to broaden their training and education to save more lives and property. You can have the best resources available to do your job, but without the dedicated firefighters it does not matter. Whether you are a volunteer firefighter or a career firefighter, we are all professionals. Fire burns the same in a small town as it does in a big city.
Requirements:
You must live within two miles of the city limits of Erie.
You must be 21 years of age or older.
